RoboCop interviews: Joel Kinnaman and Gary Oldman talk politics and bad movies

Stars of RoboCop, Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman and Abbie Cornish, have revealed the challenges and political meaning behind the remake of the 80's classic. Kinnaman, who plays the title role said that he found the scene where his character discovers he's been badly burnt in a car bomb difficult to film: "It was such an emotionally demanding scene, a complete existential anxiety... it was quite difficult." Meanwhile Gary Oldman says the film is much more than an action movie: "We have the debate of security versus liberty, freedom of choice, the debate of drones and robots. They're very topical, they're very current." Report by Lauren Hood.
