So I could wait to get my hands on that and I've done the replacement!
You'll need about 1 hour, a lot of patience, some basic tools and of course black front plate and new knobs that you can get from great people at Cayin Aliexpress store (https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExJiLpd).
I love it in silver, but black is just another level - with that orange glow of VU meters!
I highly recommend this simple mod :)
