Nearly 20,000 secondary school teachers walked off the job today, after what the teachers' union has called an "appalling" pay offer from the Government.
Protests were held nationwide, with the PPTA warning more strikes are on the way if no deal is reached. And unions are worried it won’t just be their pay on the line, but their right to strike itself. Senior reporter Juliet Speedy has the story.
