What’s up Gunpla fam? I have a very special kit I want to share with you guys, the MG Barbatos Contrast Colors Polarized. Much like owning a pair of polarized sunglasses, this thing has a chameleon color changing scheme. Most lighting it’s dark purple but in the right lighting you can see the green. The metallic blue inner frame makes the dark armor pop. Then just being on the MG Barbatos makes that much better. Let’s dive into some pros of this kit, like I haven’t said any yet… lol

The build was a refreshing to get into a unique design, expecting Vidar to be just as awesome if not better. Of course I I’m going to say the colors yes im biased and yes it’s preference but come on, it’s gorgeous. Not only is the amor molded in that color but the mace and katana, makes it just that much better. Action based is included so always a plus( though I wish they made it in that blue inner frame color) Solid injection with little amount of imperfections, which for me just makes the kit exclusive. Haha Articulation is extremely enjoyable on Barbatos as well, with some very different proportions.

Of course there is some setbacks to any kit and here is the few I found while building/reviewing. The pistons (ugh) they look so cool, but slides out of place so easily. If you look closely during action poses you’ll find at least every time. lol. That metallic injection can leave nub marks and a couple connections were pretty big. Not terribly noticeable thankfully but the worsts being top of the shoulders and mace handle. The c-clip on one of my feet was a little loose and would occasionally pop off. Finally and the most annoying thing was the backpack gimmick and connection to the cannon that he has. It’s flimsy and you might as well take it off pose it and reattach it. That’s what I did lol.
