This song I've always felt quite passionate about, even today. I'm not quite pagan anymore, but there's definitely some form of Goddess I believe in. That probably has a lot to do with my abusive upbringing and my relationship with my father. While I don't personally take issue with Jesus Christ and have no problems, my father (or caretaker we might say) was very Old Testament. So I definitely have ire against him and that particular god who I don't believe is the true creator of this world. I do however believe that the creator of this world decided to leave it alone and that could be one of the reasons why it is in the shape that it's in. So I've got this goddess in some form, some egregore and that keeps me going.

I was practically brought up in the church, the church just never appealed to me. It felt like there were a lot of good morals and such, but I often thought of it as a standard monotony - "if I don't attend this building every Sunday morning, I'll go to the bad place." So yes, during my research I found that I had far more faith in a feminine aspect of things and actually felt a sense of power, energy and life there. For once my soul was on fire with passion and fury for this goddess and I guess that's just how I'll be till the day that I die. To each their own.
