Living in a city has long meant accepting a certain level of dysfunction: long commutes, noisy streets, underutilised spaces.
Professor Carlos Moreno wants to change that. He makes the case for the '15-minute city,' where inhabitants have access to all the services they need to live, learn and thrive within their immediate vicinity.
In this latest webisode from The Island Quarter, Prof. Moreno discusses how the concept works in practice, and whether Nottingham has the potential to become the first true 15-minute city.
The webisode features a keynote presentation from Prof. Moreno, as well as interviews with BioCity's Toby Reid, Lee Walker from The Nottingham Project and Lucelia Rodrigues, professor of sustainable and resilient cities at the University of Nottingham. Christopher Ware, property director at Conygar, also joins Prof. Moreno for a live Q&A.
