Jan Sloot compression technology stored entire movies in 8 kilobytes using Sloot Digital Coding System demonstrated to Philips executives and Silicon Valley investors in 1999. The Dutch electronics engineer played sixteen films simultaneously from 64KB smartcard achieving impossible 375 million to one compression ratio. Tom Perkins from Kleiner Perkins agreed to invest millions before Sloot experienced fatal heart attack one day before contract signing July 1999. The source code stored on single floppy disk disappeared forever making the technology impossible to replicate today.
