This video documents a soundtrack development session focused on generative dark ambient music, created using modular synthesis in VCV Rack. The session explores slow-evolving industrial and sci-fi textures, dense atmospheres, and restrained movement suited for cinematic scoring.
This is a continuation of work from a previous stream, revisiting a similar patch and refining ideas for the same ongoing soundtrack project. The process involves subtle parameter adjustments, long-form listening, and allowing the system to evolve naturally as the patch settles into its final character.
The resulting soundscape emphasizes texture, tone, and space over rhythm or structure, making it well suited for deep listening, creative focus, late-night ambience, or background atmosphere.
