It is a post-war update to the iconic P38, distinguished by its aluminum alloy frame and a few other refinements like checkered plastic grips and a hex bolt reinforcement on later models to prevent frame cracking. Key features include a double-action/single-action trigger, a safety/decocker on the left side of the slide, an 8-round capacity, and a loaded chamber indicator.
