Indian actor Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and sent to 14-day judicial custody, in connection with the death of a woman in a stampede that broke out during his visit to a movie theatre last week. However, later in the day, the actor was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court. On December 3, the actor had visited India's Hyderabad-based Sandhya Theatre which was premiering his movie, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. A large crowd soon gathered at the theatre, resulting in a stampede in which 35-year-old Revathi died, and her eight-year-old son was hospitalised.
