🌟 About Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, was born on December 22, 1666 (Poh Sudi 7) in Patna Sahib, Bihar. A spiritual master, warrior, poet, and philosopher, Guru Gobind Singh Ji made unparalleled contributions to humanity and Sikhism. In 1699, he established the Khalsa Panth, baptizing the Panj Pyare (Five Beloved Ones) and instituting the distinctive Sikh identity.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a prolific writer and composed numerous hymns and texts including the Jaap Sahib, Akal Ustat, and Dasam Granth. His teachings emphasize equality, justice, and standing against oppression. Before his departure from this world in 1708, he declared the Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal living Guru of the Sikhs.
