Описание: In this presentation I explore the historical Christian doctrine of Purgatory. This is a disciplinary metaphor of purification during the intermediate state before the final judgment upon the return of Christ at the end of the great age. I set this conversation around a cozy campfire and there is a seat for everyone. We will be hearing from church fathers St. Augustine, St. Gregory of Nyssa, and St. Clement of Alexandria who all believed in the purgatorial purification of wayward souls during the intermediate state. We will also be looking at scripture that supports this doctrine. I will also contrast this with traditional views of Hell. This is meant as in introduction to the concept of purgatory not an exhaustive treatment of the subject. But this introduction should give you a good grasp of Purgatory and the scriptural basis for it.
