From our place near Pratunam, April and I kept watching these long, narrow boats flying up and down the canal behind our building. We saw locals hopping on and off like it was completely normal — so we decided to try it ourselves.

In this video, we ride Bangkok’s famous khlong boat (canal boat) to see where it goes and find out if this is really how locals commute across the city. No BTS. No Grab. No taxi. Just us, a few baht, and a fast-moving water taxi cutting through Bangkok traffic.
