Is BookTube sexist? That's the question I raise in this video. While publishing has come a long way, and female led books are flourishing, there remains an underlying attitude towards books for women - an idea persists, worse for its subtlety, that books written by, and for, women, are less "serious." With female books being seen as silly, poorly written, or less worthy of discussion, I ask if BookTube is, on some level, sexist, despite the advances we've made.
