From the moment we pulled up the relaxed vibe and the tropical heat immediately set the ambiance.
It’s that perfect mix of outback charm and tropical warmth which made us feel like we had stepped into a different world the second we got out of the truck.

The Daly Waters Pub is more than just a place to stop for a drink, it’s a whole experience.
The pub itself has a history that stretches back decades and it’s become a staple for travellers passing through.
As soon as we walked in we were surrounded by quirky memorabilia hats, T-shirts and random knick-knacks from people who’ve passed through.
It’s like a mini museum that tells the story of the travellers who have come and gone.
Each item on the wall is another tale from the road, adding to the pub’s incredible charm.

One of the most unforgettable parts of the Daly Waters experience is Tim’s Junkyard.
A unique collection of scrap metal, old cars and strange finds from across the outback, Tim’s Junkyard feels like a treasure trove of Aussie history.
Tim, the owner, has turned his junkyard into a mini museum of all things Aussie.
It’s not your typical junkyard, it’s an adventure in itself, full of hidden treasures and stories from travellers who’ve passed through before.
As we wandered through we were struck by how much personality the place had.
It’s not your ordinary junkyard, it’s a place full of history, character and stories waiting to be discovered.

Sadly, we never got to meet Tim during our visit because he was away in Darwin on a business trip, but it just gives us a great excuse to return one day.

And of course, we couldn’t leave without checking out the infamous bra collection.
Over the years, travellers have left behind their bras as part of a quirky tradition and it’s grown into something completely out of control.
Shazza couldn’t help herself she had to contribute to the fun and add her own bra to the wall, adding to the ever expanding collection 👙
It’s a quirky, fun tradition that’s totally unique to Daly Waters.

For those looking to stay the night, the Daly Waters Pub offers a range of camping options.
Unpowered sites will set you back $24 per night, while powered sites with water are $36 per night.
It’s a great place to park up, enjoy the warmth of the tropical outback and soak in the laid-back atmosphere.

We stayed for two nights, but honestly we could have stayed much longer if we didn't decide to join happy hour every night 🤭🍻

The relaxed vibe of the pub, combined with the warmth of the tropical air, made it feel like the perfect place to just slow down and enjoy the simple things like the great food, cold drinks and the welcoming company of locals and fellow travellers from afar.
Whether you're after a delicious pub meal or just a place to kick back and swap stories, Daly Waters is where you’ll find it.

When it comes to the food, the world famous beef and barra is a must try. This local specialty is a delicious combination of tender beef and the freshest barra, served up with all the trimmings.
The meal was hands down one of the best pub meals we’ve had on the road, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked.
It’s a signature dish that draws people from all over and for dam good reason 😋


Now, let’s talk about the drinks.
The pub has 12 beers on tap and let us tell you they are refreshingly cold. After a long day of travelling in the NT heat, there’s nothing like a crisp, cold beer straight from the tap to hit the spot.
