More specifically, it's part of my rework for the Celestial Pillars event, wherein I'll be phasing out the four celestial pillars in favor of completely unique bosses based around them.

Needless to say this boss will be filling the role of the Vortex Pillar.
Noteworthy details:
*Celestial enemies now drop pillar fragments, so you can get pillar weapons before defeating any of the four pillar bosses.
*The subworld where this fight takes place is not infinite, but it is very big.
*The Empress of Light is a badly designed boss.
