As we know, Antimicrobial resistance is emerging as a Silent Epidemic killing millions across the globe.

The World Health Organization (WHO) projections indicate that between 2025 and 2050, AMR could lead directly to over 39 million deaths worldwide and be associated with around 169 million deaths in total.

This threat is especially severe in low- and middle-income countries, including India, due to high infectious disease burden, rampant misuse of antibiotics and less robust health systems.

IMA is celebrating World Antibiotic Awareness Week from 18th to 24th November to spread awareness about Rational Use of Antibiotics.

The theme for Antibiotic Awareness Week, this year is ACT NOW: PROTECT OUR PRESENT, SECURE OUR FUTURE.
