Activists chant against the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, disrupting the BBC Proms

Описание: Jewish Artists for Palestine have taken action against the BBC, Royal Albert Hall and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) for their role in censoring pro-Palestinian voices.

Chants of “You silence artists” and “The MSO is complicit” were followed by heavy booing from the audience. The protest highlighted the cancellation of pianist Jayson Gillham who dedicated a performance to Palestinian journalists, and the policing of audience members expressing solidarity.

The collective condemns the complicity of cultural institutions in suppressing free speech and enabling ongoing violence against Palestinians, demanding that Jewish identity not be weaponised to silence calls for justice.
