Trump shares video of strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island

Описание: US President Donald Trump shared footage on Truth Social showing air strikes carried out by the US on Iran’s oil hub Kharg Island on Friday.

Trump earlier said US forces had “obliterated” military targets on the island, a key hub for Iran’s oil exports in the Persian Gulf.

However, Iranian media, citing local sources, said the air defence network resumed operations on the island shortly after the strike, disputing the extent of the damage reported by Washington.

Kharg Island is located 16 miles (26 km) off Iran’s coast and about 300 miles (483 km) northwest of the Strait of Hormuz. It serves as the export terminal for 90 percent of Iran’s oil shipments.
