MMI joins San Enrique, a municipality in the province of Iloilo to light 16,000 candles and officially coins San Enrique “The First Inner Peace Town” in the world due to its implementation of inner peace education and the Universal Goodness program.
The Dawn of the Inner Peace Town tells the story of a small municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines that has undergone tremendous transformation through the cultivation of the Five Principles of Universal Goodness-- cleanliness, orderliness, politeness, punctuality, and meditation. Through the practice of these virtues, the townsfolk have developed inner peace and have learned to find true happiness from within themselves. As the first town in the world with its entire population trained in the practice of righteous values and of meditation, Mayor Ramona Palabrica Go is delighted to see her town experience "Progress Through Inner Peace."
