08189/90 ERS TATA biweekly Express is the only scheduled day time running train to skip Coimbatore Junction and proceed via the single line to IGU. Most route diverted trains and freight trains use this line to avoid the Coimbatore JN station. The other trains that use this line are:
02697/8 TVC MAS weekly
06161/2 ERS BAND weekly
06129/30 ERS BAND bi weekly
07359/60 KCVL UBL weekly
02601/2 MAQ MAS SF mail
02685/6 MAQ MAS SF
A few years ago, 02639/40 ALLP MAS and 02623/4 MAS TVC mail used to ply this bypass. 12623/4 (pre covid number) TVC mail used to go non stop from Erode to Palakkad.
