A Tribute to 100 Years of Disney

Описание: 100 years ago today in 1923, two brothers from Kansas City by the names of Walter and Roy Disney moved to California where they opened their own filmmaking studio, known as the Disney Brothers' Studio. The following year, they began their work in animation, creating and debuting a series of live-action and animation hybrid shorts called "Alice Comedies." However, it would not be until 1928 when Walt introduced his newest character, a mouse named Mickey, and then later in 1939 when the Disney Studio released their first full-length, animated motion picture, "Snow White & the Seven Dwarves" that the name "Disney" truly made its mark in the world of Hollywood.

From there, the Walt Disney Studios would bring together multiple talented writers, artists, and performers in deliver to the world many magical, unforgettable stories. The stories of how a wooden puppet became a real boy and how an elephant learned to fly. Of how a lady dog fell in love with a tramp and how a mermaid became part of our world. Of how a beautiful girl touched the heart of a beast and how a lion learned to be King. Of how a lost alien found his Ohana and how a family in Columbia was blessed with a miracle.

They've shown us the worlds of the toys in our rooms, the monsters in our closets, and the emotions inside our minds. They've taken us on adventures across the Carribbean, within the magical realm of Narnia, and into the worlds of Amphibia and the Boiling Isles. And they've introduced us to Earth's Mightiest Heroes and to warriors and rebels in a galaxy far far away.

From the magic within our hearts, to the adventure beyond the horizon, there is only one Disney.
