It can be used as protection for a laptop while transporting using the included strap along with the additional cooling. Each of the 80mm fans pushes a steady 31 CFM of air and run at a quiet 21 dBA. The fans are powered by a single USB port and the connector includes a pass through so you can still use the USB port.
