Welcome back to the Home Away from Home Caravan Hire hirer’s guide series.

In this video, we cover the optional Weber Baby Q BBQ that can be added to your hire, including:
• Storage: the Baby Q fits into the tunnel boot — larger BBQs will not fit
• Gas connection: 3m braided hose with bayonet plug fitting (not a standard gas bottle fitting) connects directly to the caravan’s external gas bayonet outlet
• Setup recommendations:
• Position the BBQ at least a couple of metres away from the van to avoid fat splatter on the caravan exterior
• Best setup is on the trestle table near the drawbar, under the awning arm, so you’re not walking into the awning frame
• Supplied tools: BBQ brush, scraper, and tongs
• Scraper and tongs live in the cutlery drawer
• BBQ brush usually stored with the BBQ plate
• Cleaning requirement: the BBQ must be cleaned at the end of the hire and returned in the same condition it was supplied

This caravan contains a number of high-value components and systems. If these items are damaged during your hire, it is treated as damage to the van, and the hirer is responsible for repair or replacement costs.

To help avoid unnecessary charges:
• Always follow the instructions provided in these videos carefully.
• Double-check all connections, fittings, and tie-downs before leaving equipment in use.
• Pay attention to weather conditions and campsite surroundings.
• If in doubt, it’s always safer (and far cheaper) to pack equipment away or switch systems off rather than risk costly damage.

👉 Please take particular care with items such as the awning, fridge, toilet cassette, skylights, and power systems.
