As we get further into 2022, the work environment continues to evolve.
All employers should be aware of two fairly new accommodations their employees may ask for: religious accommodations and medical accommodations.
These are defined as exemptions requested by an employee when a conflict arises between a specific work task that the employee cannot fulfill due to a medical or religious reason. This means that the COVID vaccine requirement may create a need for a medical or religious accommodation when an employee cannot fulfill their work requirements due to medical or religious reasons.
