Introduction to Sand and Water Play

Sherrie West has been a supervising teacher in a lab school, training early childhood teachers at Weber State University for more than 20 years. She is a consultant for home care and preschool providers, a Coordinating Mentor for the Northern Utah Region Head State Program, an owner of a home preschool, and an active and involved member of her community where education issues are concerned. She coordinates, plans, and implements curriculum for teachers and children. She has created curriculum and assessment tools for children at both Head Start and Weber State University.

Sherrie regularly presents workshops and training sessions at the local, state, and national level. She is an annual speaker at hospital training workshops for child interactive personnel. She has presented workshops at the Utah Association for the Education of Young Children (UAEYC), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and at other early childhood association conferences across the country.
