This vintage quilt made from sweater panels and denim backing suffered from love and time- the edges were frayed and seams coming apart along with lots of loose threads. I used a serger to trim and seal the edges, then secured the loose threads and seams, reinforced some of the quilting and finished with a brand new binding. I kept the look of the quilt intact but restored it to its formal glory!
