The Buxar Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar has a notable electoral history with competitive contests primarily between the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In the 2024 general election, Sudhakar Singh of RJD won the seat by securing 438,345 votes (40.82%). His main rival, Mithilesh Tiwari from BJP, received 408,254 votes, approximately 38.02%.
