LIRR Railfanning the Z trains on the Ronkonkoma branch

Описание: Taken on Saturday February 5th, 2022 and Sunday February 6th, 2022. This weekend they ran the LIRR’s famous Z trains. They’ve only run these a handful of times. They run it when there’s trackwork interfering the Ronkonkoma branch as in nothing allowed in Hicksville so they have to run diesels from Penn Station via Babylon/Montauk branch and then up the central. It has to be diesels cause the central isn’t electrified meaning EMU’s can not run there. This is a rare occurrence. It was great to see all of these diesels at every station where they never run. I also got the NYAR RS71 which I threw in to this video. Stations seen here are Farmingdale, Pinelawn, Wyandanch, Deer Park, Brentwood, Central Islip, and Ronkonkoma. Enjoy!
