Anil Adhikari, better known as Yama Buddha was a Nepali Rapper born in Salakpur, Morang on 30th of May 1987 and sadly passed away on 14th of January 2017 at the young age of just 29.

One of the most popular and successful Hip-hop artist from Nepal and also the presenter of the popular rap battle show Raw Barz.

But who was Yama Buddha?

He was more than just a rapper. A unique and talented personality with unique perspective. he was a lyricist, a poet and his songs had strong messages in it.

He rapped about many things but he mainly liked to rap about social issues like drug addiction, poverty, homelessness, human trafficking etc. All his songs were focused on bringing awareness and educating people.

Loved and respected by his friends and his fans, he was a force for change and an inspiration to many people and most importantly he was real.

He had big dreams. He often expressed his desire to see a change in the nepalese music industry and create a platform for young artists. He was all about helping people, changing lives and contributing to the society. Whether it was saving Nepalese children from poverty or stopping Sex Trafficking, he constantly expressed them through his songs and in the media.

His death has been a great loss, not just for his friends, family and his fans but for the whole nation. He might be gone but his legacy remains.

This is a tribute to the legend, Yama Buddha.
