The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday shot down a hexacopter drone in the Akhnoor area of the Jammu district. The drone was shot down around 8 km inside the International Border (IB).
Police also recovered 5 kg of an improvised explosive device (IED) which was to be assembled and to be used by terrorists, police said.
Agencies are probing whether terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is behind the drone activity and using this modus operandi for a terror attack as in previous cases; a big success for Jammu and Kashmir police.
