Try BASELINE TAG — a simple yet challenging PE game that’s perfect for all grades and guaranteed to get your class moving, strategizing, and having fun!
🔹 Equipment Needed: pinnies (or any team identifiers)
🔹 Setup: divide the gym in half using the center line
🔹 How to Play:
– Create two teams and have them start on opposite sides of half
– On your whistle, both teams try to cross to the far baseline without getting tagged
– If a player is tagged, they must fully return to their side before trying again
– The first team to get all players across the opposite baseline wins the round!

🔸 Teaching Tips:
– Works great for grades 3–12
– Play best of 5 or 7 quick rounds
– Add a “whistle reset” rule to keep players guessing: when you blow the whistle, tags don't count and the first team to cross wins!
