FITE: How to build good D&D combats (DM tips)

Описание: Dungeons & Dragons combat is hit-or-miss. Your encounter could be awesome or it could just be frustrating and boring. Installing great choices for your player characters to make throughout the fight starts with following a few simple guidelines -- these tips will turn your D&D combat from good to great, almost every time.

Designing a DnD combat is just like designing any other game: player characters need choices to make. Interesting choices have many possible outcomes and lots of factors that inform them. Changing battlefields and complex combat elements help give your PCs something to think about every round!

As always, these are guidelines, not hard-and-fast rules. Keep these in mind when you are building encounters, but never let them over-ride your story or unique circumstances.
