Xavier Dragon Lion Dance Troupe shares the joy of traditional Chinese art | ABS-CBN News

Описание: Twin brothers Bryce and Caden Munoz, together with schoolmate Justin Tan, students of Jesuit-run Xavier School, have been members of the Xavier Dragon Lion Dance Troupe (XDL) for over three years. They are motivated by a common goal: to learn the traditional Chinese dance, inspired by their happy memories of watching lion and dragon dance during their childhood days.

They emphasized the importance of learning the skill to keep the tradition alive and teach the younger generation this important art. Inculturation of the Catholic rites during the Lunar New Year celebration helps in keeping the Chinese-Filipino community rooted to their culture and committed to their faith, they added.

But most importantly, the values espoused by their coach Dexter Cua keep the group stronger as they treat one another not just as friends but as family members.
