On the island of Guernsey you can collect a type of abalone called green ormers. They are a delicacy and are hard work to find them. They are only found on the low tide marks under rocks and in the cracks of rocks. The foraging of ormers are restricted, they must be over 80mm in length and you are only permitted to forage for them on certain low tides between January and April each year.
I haven't done a lot of ormering this year but thought I would take advantage of the beautiful weather on the last ormering tide of the year.
