Welcome back to 💫 English Moonlight Story Theater.
Long ago, in a certain village, there lived a younger son who cared for his elderly mother.
The elder brother took all of their parents’ property but shirked his duty to care for them.
Despite living in hardship, the younger son devoted himself wholeheartedly to his mother.
He was always saddened that he could not treat her to better food.
One day, as the Lunar New Year approached,
the son was gathering firewood and cried out loudly in frustration.
Then—would you believe it?—a voice from across the way echoed his words exactly.
When he looked closer, he found a talking turtle.
He took the turtle to the market, sold it, and earned a great sum of money.
Hearing this, the greedy elder brother rushed to his sibling,
demanding to know the secret.
Will the covetous elder brother be able to find a talking turtle of his own?
And after meeting the talking turtle, how will the younger son’s life change?
