Описание: It has become a personal tradition to begin each New Year with some steam action. The only railway in Australia using steam on a regular basis over summer is the Puffing Billy Railway, in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne. Fortunately, only a short drive from my home, Thursday, 1st January 2026 was a bright and mild summer's day. After a lovely breakfast with friends, followed by a family catch-up, I arrived at the railway in the afternoon to find Baldwin designed 2-6-2T's 7A and 8A and ex South African Railways Garratt NGG16 No. 128 in service. Due to the mild temperature (low 20 degrees Celsius) there's not much steam vapor evident!
