Laurelville Church of God was host to the yearly Hocking County Mock Disaster. Every year Hocking County EMA office in conjunction with County Emergency Agencies as well as neighboring counties participate in a State of Ohio coordinated scenario to review local response for large scale emergencies.
This year's scenario was a fuel tanker truck accident with fuel leak. Hocking County EMS, Laurelville Fire, Logan Fire, and The Hocking County Sheriff office worked under the EMA to secure the scene, evacuate the area, and deal with any secondary surprise emergencies that arose.
