Just about 2 hours from Anchorage, we head to MICA Guides for their Advanced Glacier Trek—a next-level journey that takes us farther, higher, and deeper into the ice. Roped up in harnesses, we cross endless white ice, peer into massive crevasses, and climb toward stunning overlooks near the top of the icefall.

No glacier experience required—just a sense of adventure and comfort moving fast over rugged, icy terrain. With smaller groups and expert guides managing ropes and anchors, this trek delivers epic views, rare photo ops, and true hands-on glacier travel—without committing to full technical ice climbing.
