Speaking at the “Europe, India and a Changing World Order” conference in Delhi, she emphasized that Europe’s predictability has become a key value in today’s uncertain world. “When we negotiate deals, we stick to them and implement them, which builds trust,” she said. Kallas noted that the FTA opens doors for collaboration in maritime security, cyber security, and foreign policy, with negotiations underway in these areas. She also addressed global challenges, pointing to the strain on multilateralism, the weaponsization of supply chains, and superpowers attempting to rewrite the international order. Kallas added that while the EU is an economic rather than a military power, India-EU cooperation can benefit industries on both sides and strengthen long-term strategic partnerships.
