Content Marketing allows your brand or business to be relevant to your customers beyond just products and offers. Content Marketing is a process by which your brand or business creates a connection to your audience through the publication of content on platforms like blogs, youtube, Instagram and more.
When it comes to creating a powerful content marketing strategy you need to focus on these key steps:
1. Who's your target Audience?
If you don't know who your target audience is. How can you hope to create valuable content for them?
2. Create Content With Value
There are 3 types of content that do extremely well for content marketing. They are Informative, Entertainment, and Usefulness
Entertainment: Funny, Humor, Joy that spreads positivity and laughter. These are typically viral videos that have exponential shareability.
Informative: Educational content that has the sole purpose to educate the reader on whatever topic is being discussed.
Usefulness: These are typical "How-to" content, it's very similar to informative. However, in this content, you are explaining a series of steps to complete a task.
3. Create a Content Hub
This should be your website or domain. The goal of the content hub is to be a centralized location for all of your content so that it is easily accessible to your audience.
4. Always Distribute Content
Whether its paid advertising or publication on social platforms. You always should be telling your audience when a new piece of content is published. After all, how can you expect people to find your new content if they never heard about it in the first place?
5. Utilize SEO
Google, YouTube, Instagram, etc. all have techniques and best practices that you can use in order to rank your content higher on these mediums. This will allow for more organic traffic and reach.
6. CTA
The whole goal of content marketing is to strengthen that relationship and eventually incentivize a purchase or sale. The trust and value that is built over time through your content marketing strategy should ultimately help you convert more sales.
