It wasn’t just the breathtaking backdrop of Istanbul or the grandeur of Pera Palace and Ciragan Palace that made this destination wedding unforgettable, it was the soul behind it all. The rituals were traditionally grand, the settings palatial, and yet, the entire celebration felt deeply intimate. That’s what happens when there’s genuine warmth between two people and the families that surround them.

They weren’t here to recreate what’s been done before. They wanted to break norms and more importantly, the stigmas around what is “acceptable.” A ceremony without kanyadaan or vidaai, but with poetry, presence and purpose.

Two best friends, building a life and a business together, the kind of couple who slow dance barefoot in the kitchen, share books before bed, and turn everyday rituals into something magical. A writer and a musician who brought a rare emotionality to their wedding and it reflected in every detail. From their pre wedding photoshoot in Istanbul to the candid moments of their wedding photos, every frame carried intimacy.

This one will stay with us for a long, long time.
