First launched in 2014 and releases in 2015 and 2018, Michter’s decided to use some of their bourbon stocks to bring back this toasted offering. To make this release, the distillery starts with fully matured barrels of its US*1 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon and transfers the whiskey into a second barrel made of 18-month air dried wood for additional aging. This second barrel has been toasted to precise specifications, but not charred. Mitcher’s US*1 Toasted Barrel Finished Bourbon is available now for a suggested retail price of $100 per 750mL bottle.
