Hundreds march on Capitol Hill in Olympia demanding immigrant protections

Описание: More than 500 people marched to Capitol Hill in Olympia on Thursday to support Washington’s immigrant communities and demand more protections from the Washington State Legislature.

They were joined by the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN), Washington state Sens. Rebecca Saldaña, Manka Dhingra, and Yasmin Trudeau, and Reps. My-Linh Thai, Julio Cortes, and Lillian Ortiz-Self, as well as Olympia council member Clark Gilman.

Organizers said the rally was in response to a surge in immigration enforcement arrests and reported violence by federal immigration agents across the U.S.
