My guest house in Mawlamyine (Myanmar) arranged for a share taxi to come pick me up at seven thirty in the morning. I assumed this car would pick me up and we would hit the road on our way to the border with Thailand at Myawaddy and Mae Sot. But, as always, things didn't quite work out that way.
