In this video, I show how I lit up my backyard using simple solar powered lights I picked up on Amazon. This was a quick, real-life setup filmed on the fly to show what these lights actually look like at night and whether they’re worth it.

If you want better backyard lighting for paths, fences, or outdoor hangout areas — and you don’t want to deal with wiring or complicated installs — solar lights can be a simple and affordable option.

This is a great DIY upgrade for homeowners, renters, or anyone who wants a quick outdoor lighting solution.

**Quick note on solar light install: I didn't grab footage of the outdoor Command Strips I used for the install, so I wanted to explain it here, and share the link so you can buy them.

I bought the small outdoor Command Strips and used two per solar light for the ones I installed on the fence, the shed, and the porch rail. Just peel of the the sticker and apply one to each side of the solar light, clean the area on the surface you plan to stick the light, dry it off quickly, position the light and press and hold for at least 30 seconds.

I've had these up for over a week now in less than 20 degree temps and they've all stayed on! The strips are rated to hold on -20 to 125 F degree weather and it seems to be true so far!
