Two 16 year old teenagers murdered in Essex tragedy

Police rushed to the address at Regency Court in Brentwood at around 1.30am on Sunday morning, and found three injured people, including two teenage boys who later died from their injuries.

The two teenagers were confirmed dead at the scene and Crown Street remained cordoned off by police, with a blue tent having been erected within the cordon.

The third person was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police have arrested eight people on suspicion of murder.

Neighbour Mark MacIntosh said he had only just arrived home when he heard shouting and screaming coming from the nearby residence.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said the families of the deceased are being supported by specialist officers.


"We are working to establish how the boys died and a forensic post-mortem examination will be carried out,” they said.

On Sunday afternoon a group of people carrying flowers arrived at the scene and were allowed through the police cordon to leave the flowers outside.

One teenage girl burst into tears as they approached the scene.
