Описание: Take a relaxing walk through Malaga's historic Castillo de Gibralfaro, filmed on 24th October 2022.

4K virtual treadmill walk with ambient sounds as you stroll through the 10th century castle perched high on a hill overlooking the city. From the Phoenician foundation of Málaga city in 770 BC the site featured a lighthouse, from which its name was derived - gebel-faro (Arabic and Greek, meaning rock of the lighthouse). It was fortified by Caliph Abd-al-Rahman III in 929 AD and again at the beginning of the 14th century when Yusuf I of the Kingdom of Granada expanded the fortifications with a double wall to the Alcazaba below. The castle is famous for its three-month siege in 1487 by the Catholic monarchs, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, which ended when hunger forced the Arabs to surrender. Afterwards Ferdinand occupied the site, while his queen took up residence in the town.
