Letterpress effect with hot foil plates? Sharing my crafty experiments :-)

Letterpress, or Betterpress as has been recently made popular by Spellbinders, is the new shiny toy I have been having my eyes on. But as I have promised myself some discipline in spending this year, I decided to see if I could recreate the look with things I already have.
In the video below I share 2 ways I tried and I think it was pretty close to what I was hoping to achieve. I am sure it will be a bit of trial-and-error each time, but definitely possible.
I do want to try using the BetterPress plate with other platforms and see what happens. I also want to try the specialty paper from Spellbinders and some watercolor papers, especially cotton-based papers.
I will be sure to share my findings when I do. :) If you get there first with any of these ideas, please drop by and let us all know here what you find.
