Odisha Government Plans "Tricity" Development: Puri, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack to be Integrated

Описание: The Odisha state government is envisioning the development of a "Tricity" by integrating Puri, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack, following the concept of the existing twin city. Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra announced that the government will prioritize transportation and development in all three cities to make this integrated zone a reality. He stated that the government aims to improve connectivity and boost overall development by connecting the three cities.

Furthermore, the minister highlighted plans to address the traffic congestion in Bhubaneswar. The government intends to construct additional new overbridges and ring roads. Preliminary plans are underway and the Chief Minister has held two meetings to discuss how and where these ring roads and overbridges can be built. The Chief Minister has also directed officials to expedite the planning process. In addition to infrastructure projects, the minister also mentioned that the government will focus on enhancing the public transportation system to encourage more people to use buses and alleviate traffic issues.
